Linton Fair produced a spectacular colt to Furst Grandios.
With a blaze and 4 white socks, he is just what Belinda ordered!

3rd & 4th November 2008

We attended the Hidden Valley Co-op hosted One Day Event over this weekend. The Club put on a good show - the venue was beautifully presented and there were some new jumps, with the addition of a rock wall and some apexes for the lower classes. The show jumping course was well designed and inviting for the lower grades. The event ran to time and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves.

Madeline and Snowy finished about mid-field, with a few time penalties cross country. Thomas Kasey finished 12th in the Introductory class at his first ever ODE. With Belinda in the saddle, the Allen’s Mr Amigo came third in the Introductory and Cosmos placed 6th in his first Preliminary away from Bellview Park.

It was a good weekend for the Allen’s, as Jane and Garcon Purgatory won the Newcomers Class.

2008 Mid-North Coast Dressage Championships

It was almost like Spring at the Dressage Championships held at Taree Showground by the Manning Valley Dressage & Hacking Club last weekend. On Saturday, Madeline won Champion Dressage Pony on Snowy River and Reserve Champion Junior on Sugarmint. She also received an award for Champion Junior Rider of the Year.

On Sunday the Official competition was conducted. Belinda rode Bill and Sue Barrett’s Fernwood Fox for two 3rd placings and Reserve Champion Medium Horse. See more about him on our For Sale page. Belinda also rode Gerry and Jane Allen’s Mr Amigo, and placed 4th and 5th in just his second Dressage competition.

We would like to thank Darryl Cooper and family for the opportunity to have the lovely thoroughbred gelding “Thomas Kacey” in our stables. Formerly known as Marscay Lover, he has won Champion Led Thoroughbred Stallion at Sydney Royal on three occasions. Not only is he a stunning looking horse, he is a pleasure to do anything with and has stacks of talent. Belinda is looking forward to campaigning him in the future.
