1st July 2008
The removal of the requirement to obtain Travelling Horse Statements in NSW reminded us again what a huge impact the EI outbreak had on the horse industry.
Unable to coach during this period, Belinda was employed by the DPI at the Gloucester Vaccination Centre and the Forward Command Post at Tocal.
Although we think of EI as only affecting horses, donkeys are also susceptible to the virus. The photos below were taken at one of the Donkey Sanctuaries in the Hunter Valley.

28 April, 2008 - School Holidays Rider Camp
A junior camp was held at Bellview Park during the rain-filled April school holidays. All riders were back in training in preparation for competition after the enforced EI break. Rhiannon Moulds from Bensville riding Angeland and Anna Dillenbeck from Kangi Angy and her horse Louie, came up from the Central Coast. Both girls compete at Pony Club and at open level competition through the state. Sarah Murray also attended with Rocky and Madeline was on her horse Snowy River. Alex Watts (not pictured below), a successful junior show jumping rider on the Mid North Coast who travels to Sydney and NSW regional areas for competition, also attended the camp during this very wet period.
