We would like to thank our generous sponsors for the event.
Tallyho Trakheners have kindly donated a Stallion Service to the value of $2,200 for the best performed horse. The winner will have a choice of either of two purebred Trakhener stallions - Tallyho Jupiter View details or Tallyho Kahlua View details.
Tallyho Trakehners was born with the purchase of Kaliber, from the Wahler family, Klosterhoff, Medingen, Germany in 1974. Two years later again with assistance from the Wahler family, we imported two purebred mares, Vision and Mira III.
We also bred with studbook Thoroughbred and Arabian mares as this was following Trakehner Verband breeding rules.
In 1985 Kaliber was joined by Korritt (Germany) and two Thoroughbred mares from England, Slap Dash and Charlotte (Kitty). The Korritt, Kaliber cross proved to be a very good cross and has now given us a wonderful broodmare band.
We endeavor to ensure that our babies reflect the dedication that goes into them and have good minds - they respect and are people horses. It makes them easier to train by their new owners later.
Let me say that firstly we breed horses and secondly we breed Trakehners, so that while in the future we shall always maintain our Trakehner bloodstock, we will avail ourselves of the many good performance bloodlines that are not necessarily Trakehner. We are dedicated to maintain our ideals of an athletic competition horse - one that is sound, sensible and elegant.
