THIS SEASON WE WILL BE STANDING AN EXCITING YOUNG STALLION - PARIS HILL.
PARIS HILL was bred absolutely ‘in the purple’ by Beth and Warwick Turner. He is bay with a star and we estimate he will mature at 16.2hh. He is only a three year old so not started yet, but he has a kind and friendly temperament and we are very much looking forward to a very exciting future with him and his progeny under saddle.
Sire Line
PARIS HILL is by Ideal De Valette, a Selle Français stallion imported to Australia and campaigned here at World Cup Showjumping by Jeff Bloomfield. A spectacularly scopey horse, he is now competing with Jeff in Europe. Ideal de Valette is by one of the greatest jumping sires ever – Voltaire, who combines illustrious French blood from his sire Furioso II with the best of the German jumpers in his dam sire, Gotthard. One son of Furioso II, For Pleasure, finished with a life time earning of Euro 1.8 million (which was more than the legendary Milton, who won Euro 1.6 million and 23 cars!). Furioso II is the dam sire of Welt As (who is the sire of World and Olympic Champion, Olympic Bonfire) and he is also the sire of Purioso. Ideal de Valette is out of a mare by one of the immortals of French breeding, Almé. Alme', a successful international showjumper himself, must also go down as one of the all time ‘greats’ in producing International showjumping progeny. Some of his offspring include: Galoubet, Quidam De Revel, I Love You, Jalisco, Aloube' Z, Athlet Z, Alexis Z and Quick Star.

Dam Line
PARIS HILL is out of a mare by Stirling Sprite who was ridden at Grand Prix showjumping level by Olympian Vicki Roycroft. Not only was he a superb athlete, Stirling Sprite is also the sire of Hunter Hill (2* with Rachael Lee), Orchard Hill (2* with Stuart Tinney), Nottage Hill (formerly 3* with Stuart Tinney), Bubble and Squeak (PN with Annabel Armstrong), Goonamurrah Hill (1* with Jamie Turner), as well as Water Sprite, Adelaide Hill and several others. Stirling Sprite is in turn by Salute, the sire of many international dressage, eventing and showjumping horses.
PARIS HILL’ dam is by the renowned Dusky Hunter, the sire of numerous eventers and showjumpers competing at the highest levels all over the world. A few close relatives of Dusky Hunter that have competed in both eventing and showjumping at local and international levels include: Lorikeet, June Bug, Zeal, Dusky Song, Dusky Sound, Sharpe Seal, Dusky Dawn, Dusky Sky, Deer Hunter, Smart Seal and Dark Ages.

Just like his father Capone, Cosmos is a fine example of modern Warmblood breeding with the same faultless temperament and conformation. Belcam Caesar, who is starring in Eventing at 2* with Kevin McNab, is also by Capone.
Cosmos is a fine example of the future in modern Australian Warmblood breeding, with Capprilli and Cor de la Bryere, and on the dam side the successful jumping sire King. King was the sire of Abduel, campaigned by John Cooper and winner of many events at Advanced level, including Queensland 3DE Championships. Also, on the dam line of his father is the famous Gotthard, through Goldstern who is a very well known producer of jumping horses. |
